We started to learn history about United States. At the beginning of the history is about Columbus. He is the first guy who found the land of America. There are three different topic talks about Columbus. First is the video. The video is very fun, in this video, everybody speak like singing. Columbus is a smart guy and he has different idea with other people, he think the Earth is a ball, he can travel and one day he will come back at begin of the travel. Although all the people are not trust him. Until he found America, he got very big success and shock all the Europe. But in text book, it wrote more details about after he found America. Columbus killed people who lived in America, he told them Indian. And took them to Spain and sold them like slave. The people who lived in America are full of suffer after Columbus came. Columbus destroyed those people history and tradition, and made American history has bloody start. So the writer thinks he is not a hero. The third topic said before Columbus came to America, the Norway already got on it five hundreds ago. Columbus was not the first person found the New land. It doesn’t say anything positive or negative.
Compare those three article, I know history is not 100% correct, people must say something fake. The reason has a lot, one is the government need to control the people mind, the other is history was happened long time ago, something we can’t got very clear evident to prove is right, and we need to guess. Someone said: history is the winner wrote it, so it can’t be correct. When we learned history, we can’t just read one side from the event, because different people has different opinion, also history has no right or wrong, it depend different people. We need impersonal to see history and think about a person. Although Columbus is a greet guy, he still did something not very good. The three different reveal history need to specify and details, also need many different side to appraise it.
